What's new in v3.0.1?
Incorporating direct feedback from customers, the latest update to Everest Advanced, v3.0.1, delivers even more flexibility in Inventory, Accounting/Payroll and E-Commerce.
Expanded Inventory Functionality
Additional capabilities to better manage and optimize inventory and work efficiently - especially in multi-location environments, including: Multiple restocking thresholds where minimum, maximum and re-order replenishment points can now be defined for each Everest location. Use of vendor part numbers for a product in purchase orders and searches. Configurable Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) for each vendor part number that Everest will consider during automated purchases, helping to control purchase costs. Item inventory put-away bins can be defined for each location. Configurable order entry line item stock status indicators for each location. Improved automated purchase orders that intelligently use predefined replenishment details for each item. Plus, common purchasing criteria and be saved and re-used each time Purchase Orders are generated, and more.
E-Commerce Enhancements
Improved full-text searching including automated advanced searches using common Boolean operators. Full control of GL accounts used in automated transactions. Configurable display of stock quantity information that can provide an accurate yet controlled real-time stock availably details to web shoppers. Merchants can now configure "payment terms for new accounts" and "payment terms accepted" differently.
Accounting and Payroll Updates
Updated federal tax tables for 2005. Updated W2, W3 and 1099-MISC payroll and income related 2005 statutory forms. Aging reports display additional vendor, customer and account details. Updated USPS zip codes.

Item Tracking Groups

You can highlight items on the right side of the web template by setting up item tracking groups. Go to the Inventory pull down menu and select Custom Tracking / Items/Kits. Set up a Group called Featured Items, web enable it and set it to display on the web. Then set up Choices for the group - call it something related to the item type and web enable it. Go back to the web and refresh to see the Tracking Group. Go to the Items browser, find your item and press F6 to open the Tracking Group Selection screen. Click the check box to tag the item with the item Choice.
